Where Are You Located?
DTE Weddings is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Although this is our primary service area we will travel to any couple interested in booking our services, including outstation clients. For weddings conducted outside of the Klang Valley, we charge a one-time travel fee based on your event destination. Accommodation and flights may also be borne by the client, depending on the destination.

Do You Charge for the Initial Consultation?
No, we do not. Our wedding planning experience begins with a complimentary consultation online via Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp. You will be meeting with Avery, our lead event planner to discussion your vision, budget and event planning needs. The consultation is also a good time to get to know each other and ensure that we will work well together to make your event a success.

How Many Meetings Will We Have and How Involved Will We Be?
The number of meetings we will have and your level of involvement in the event planning will vary depending on the planning package selected and complexity of events.
For Full Wedding Planning and Coordination, you will have several meetings from the moment you sign on and leading up to the wedding day. Meetings begin with the initial consultation to discuss your vision and budget, followed by regular meetings, averaging on 1 meeting per month to review our progress and make decision. There may also be vendor meetings, such as with the venue, caterer, decorator etc which DTE Weddings will attend to facilitate discussion and advocate for your needs. One (1) to two (2) weeks before your event, you will have a vendors meeting together with Avery to brief your main team about your event day and the programme.
For Partial Planning and Coordination, you will begin with the initial consultation to discuss your event needs. Three (3) months before your event date, you will have another consultation with Avery, our lead event planner, to discuss the details of your event and your event vision. We will also have regular meetings, averaging on 1 meeting per month to review our progress and make decisions. Following that, you will have a physical meeting at your event venue to physically walk Avery through your vision. One (1) to two (2) weeks before your event, you will have a vendors meeting together with Avery to brief your main team about your event day and the programme.

How Do You Prefer to Communicate?
Our primary method of communication is via WhatsApp messaging for quick updates and rapid decision making. We are available during office hours for any calls and replies. We will also periodically organise online calls (via Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp) to conduct detailed event discussion and progress updates. We are also able to schedule longer calls outside of regular work hours to accomodate our clients' busy schedules.

What Is Your Experience As A Wedding Planner?
Our lead wedding planner, Avery, has been in the wedding industry for over six years. Previously, she was with a prestigious and highly acclaimed wedding planner in Malaysia and has planned multiple weddings from grand ballroom affairs to intimate garden weddings. She comes with vast experience in handling complex weddings, families and managing the client's many stresses and joys.

DTE Weddings is her brand new venture and has already successfully completed multiple weddings since our beginning in 2022.

DTE Weddings specialises in intimate weddings, making sure that an emotional connection resonates throughout your wedding day and making it an experience to remember for you, your family and friends. We also specialise in weddings held at event spaces and managing the details and expectations for such an event. We are also advocates for our clients and focus only on making the clients' vision come true, not their parents'.
